Equipment
MK Promotions has the best available machinery from Switzerland to print three dimensional items. The equipment is the most flexible and versatile and ensures outstanding accuracy.
The equipment provides MK Promotions with the capability to print images in single colour, multicolour (up to five colours) and four colour process within the size constraints imposed by the machinery and the size of the object to be printed.

Inks
MK Promotions’ high quality inks are also from Europe and provide excellent colour fastness, are high impact and abrasion resistant and non-toxic. Additives can improve the ink’s flexibility, flow, pigment stability and other characteristics.
Ink formulations can be used to print on to almost any substrate. Both high gloss and matt finishes are available in virtually any colour required.
Selecting the right ink for the right substrate is an important part of the production process. For example, an ink for aluminium may not adhere to certain plastics. There are even non-toxic inks suitable for food products and medical grade inks.

Substrates
The choice of substrate, or material on which the image is to be printed, is crucial to long-lasting print effectiveness.
Identifying myriad types of plastics is an important aspect of projects using plastic substrates. Some plastic substrates will require pre-surface or post-surface treatment to ensure good adhesion and abrasion resistance. To this end, MK Promotions suggests it is consulted in the design stages, which can lead to reduced printing costs.

Pads
A flexible silicone rubber pad is used to transfer the image from the printing plate on to the substrate. The type of pad used will ultimately reflect the quality of image produced. Advances in pad technology have added to the accuracy and quality of today’s printing processes.
MK Promotions uses the best, high quality pads and selects the right pad for the order based on its shape, size, hardness and surface finish.

MK Promotions’ complete in-house graphic art department uses the latest cross-platform computers to ensure compatibility with every customer and a high standard of output.
